Lord, We Want You!
In the Submission Fast, we are setting aside everything else to pursue one thing—God’s presence.
This fast is not for promotion, not for relationships, not for money. It’s for Him. The Submission Fast is a call for Encounter Atlanta’s leadership and support staff to realign, refocus, and return to what matters most: submission to the will and presence of God.
Fasting Schedule
July 17th – August 1st
Daily from 10:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Participants can choose one of the following fasting methods:
Absolute Fast: Water only during fasting hours
Daniel Fast: Plant-based foods, no sweeteners, processed food, or caffeine
Anchor Scriptures
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.”
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Absolute Fast Food Guidelines
The Absolute Fast is a more intense level of consecration. During fasting hours (10 PM – 5 PM), you will abstain from all food and only consume water. This fast is often used in Scripture during times of deep repentance or urgent spiritual pursuit. It demands physical and mental discipline, but it yields deep clarity, spiritual sensitivity, and renewed hunger for God.
A Prayer to Begin
Lord, we submit. Strip us of distractions, ambition, and fleshly desires. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. We want You. Nothing else will do.
