Information on Ways to Connect
After your initial contact with your new member, keep consistent communication. Below is how each Encounter Deacon should create connections with their members.
How Often Should Deacons Check In?
For members who are facing ongoing struggles (health issues, grief, etc.), daily check-ins or every other day can provide needed support.
For most other members, once a week or bi-weekly check-ins can be sufficient to maintain connections, offer prayer, and offer any help that’s needed.
For members who are more self-sufficient or are not actively facing challenges, once-a-month check-ins can still maintain the relationship and keep them engaged in the community.
