How to Finish What You Start

Embarking on a new endeavor is often exciting, but completing what we start can be a daunting challenge. The persistent struggle to finish what we initiate is not just a matter of external circumstances; it may also be influenced by the subtle workings of what we describe as the Vagabond Spirit. In this eRead, we unravel the complexities of this spiritual hindrance and explore practical strategies to overcome the Vagabond Spirit, empowering individuals to see their endeavors through to fruition.

What is the Vagabond Spirit?

The Vagabond Spirit is a wandering spirit. It is a spirit that has no stability. People with this spirit move from place to place, and never settle in healthy environments. The first mention of the Vagabond spirit is in the story of Cain and Abel. God cursed Cain with the spirit of  Vagabond for killing his brother.

Vagabonds create chaos and run to chaotic environments. They fail to reap a harvest because they are not planted. People who stay planted have peace and always bear fruit. Apostolic ministries always attract vagabonds because this spirit loves to experience what is becoming. Many people are struggling with this spirit and it is hindering them from success.

What are the characteristics of the Vagabond Spirit?

  1. Cannot submit to authority and hates leadership.
  2. Lonely and cannot produce fruit.
  3. Not willing to commit to a healthy environment.
  4. Always causes chaos or runs to chaos.
  5. Content with not having a purpose and no central focus for their lives.
  6. Does not trust anyone and believes their perspective is always right.
  7. Does not believe in mentorship and if they start the process, they run when uncomfortable.
  8. Runs away from problems and conflict instead of dealing with them head-on.
  9. Always break promises and commitment.
  10. Sabotages relationships that can help them grow.
  11. Lives in a fantasy world not reality.

Vagabond can be the manifestation of a generational curse. Other manifestations of curses include, but are not limited to:

  1. Emotional and Mental Breakdowns.
  2. Chronic Sickness
  3. Repeated miscarriages.
  4. Chronic Financial Problems
  5. Being Accident Prone
  6. Premature & Unnatural Deaths
  7. Poverty

The curse of poverty opens the door to the spirits of lack, bondage, begging, vagabond, unemployment, and debt to operate in a family. The vagabond spirit operates mainly in men but can operate in women.

How to Stay Planted and Fight this Spirit?

  • Connect to people who have more fruit and have higher authority than you. You need vertical connections for greater impartation.
  • Establish lifelong habits of prayer, worship, praise, gratefulness, and sowing.
  • Create stability in your life and stop looking for an exit. Lean into the pressure and stay planted.

Remember: God never endorses someone to wander.
